Greetings Marching Blue Devil Students, Parents and Guardians,
Here is the information for next week's competition at University of Illinois in Champaign. Attached is our band's schedule (Illinois Marching Band Championship), and the championship schedule (2016 IMBC schedule).
Schedule: Please arrive at school at 9:30 AM to make sure instruments can be loaded on the trucks beginning at 9:45 AM. Please bring your lunch and snacks for the trip. Please don't forget your instrument essentials (mouthpiece, extra reeds, sticks & mallets).
Bus chaperons should arrive by 10:30 AM if you are not assisting with loading the trucks. All buses will leave O'Plaine promptly at 11:00 AM. Our performance time is 5:15 PM.
Parents who are assisting with the Boosters dinner please arrive at the buses parking lot west of the State Farm Center (southwest of stadium) right after our performance. Meal service will begin at 6:00 PM.
Awards will begin at 9:15 PM. Students will be returning to O'Plaine around 1:00 AM.
Under uniform: WHITE band shirt (with WHITE long-sleeve thermal shirt underneath if needed), Blue band shorts (with DARK thermal pants or similar underneath; NO jeans or sweatpants), MID-CALF BLACK socks, Black marching shoes
[Note: drumline and color guard may have different requirements, please check with your coaches.]
