On this 75th anniversary of the date that will live in infamy, we remember and thank those who have fought for our country and those who protect and serve in our community.
Here are the updates for the week of December 5th. Please read through every topic so nothing is overlooked.
1) Citrus Fruit Fundraiser (Completed)
This fundraiser was completed Monday with delivery of all citrus orders. Please reply to this email or contact your student's director if you had any issues with your order. Thank you to those students and parents who helped with the distribution on Monday. Thanks to your support and understanding with the last minute substitution to some orders due to Hurricane Matthew.
2) Concert Wear Fittings (Completed)
The concert wear fitting makeup night was the Monday after Thanksgiving. Please have your student talk to their director if your student was still not fitted. Thanks to Dawn Tsarpalas, Terry Moe (alterations), and all the parents who helped during the concert fitting nights.
3) Band Boosters Meeting - Tonight

4) Jazz Band Concert (Tomorrow - Dec 8)
Date: Thursday Dec 8
Time: 7 PM
Location: WTHS Almond Black Box Theatre

All Jazz students should also remember to bring their assigned snacks and drinks!
5) Annual Holiday Raffle (Reminder - In process now)
Every band family should have received an envelope in the mail with 20 Holiday Raffle tickets for each student. They are $1 each and winners receive 1 of 4 designated cash prizes. This should be an easy sell. We hope that every band family participates and gets an opportunity to win some money. Please contact your director if you need additional raffle tickets or have questions.
Checks should be made payable to Warren Band Boosters. The ticket stubs and money are now due back, in an envelope, to the Band Directors no later than this Tuesday, Dec 13. Winners will be drawn and announced at the Dec 14/15 concerts.
6) Cheesecake Fundraiser (Reminder - In process now, Orders due Dec. 14)
The cheesecake fundraiser, last one for students to earn extra money toward the Disney trip ($6 per cake sold), began last Friday. Order forms are available in the band rooms. Checks should be made payable to Warren Township High School or WTHS. Orders need to be turned in by next Wednesday, December 14. The cheesecakes will be delivered on January 12.
7) Winter Concerts - next Wed-Thu, Dec. 14-15
The winter concerts are next Wednesday and Thursday, December 14th and 15th at the O'Plaine Auditorium. The concert will begin each evening at 7 PM.
Wednesday night schedule: Concert Band II O'Plaine, Concert Band I O'Plaine
Thursday night schedule: Concert Band Almond, Symphonic Band II & Symphonic Band I
You will be able to purchase the Marching Band 2 DVD set for $15 both nights. Come hear what your students have been practicing over the past two months.
8) Pep Band Schedule (ongoing)
The schedule for Almond band students was posted on the Boosters website.
