Here are the updates and reminders for the week of Feb 21, 2017.
1) Mandatory Disney Trip Meeting (Reminder)
Tonight, there is a mandatory meeting in the O'Plaine campus auditorium for all students and chaperones going on the Disney trip. In addition, parents of all students going on the trip are also expected to attend. Chaperones will be meeting in the O'Plaine band room at6:30 PM. The students and parents will run from 7 - 8 PM in the auditorium. In addition, there will be a Disney parade rehearsal for all students immediately following the meeting (8 - 9 PM) in the O'Plaine fieldhouse.
2) Warren Jazz Festival (Announcement – All Jazz Bands)
Our jazz band will host the 8th graders in jazz at Viking and Woodland this Thursday, February 23rd at 6:30 PM in the Almond Black Box Theatre.
We need parent volunteers for this event! Please contact Tracy Young (email@example.com) if you can assist at the Jazz concert. All Jazz students should also remember to bring their assigned snacks and drinks!
3) Jazz in the Meadows Competition (Announcement – All Jazz Bands)
Date: This Saturday (Feb 25)
Times: Jazz Lab performs at 9:30 AM, Jazz Ensemble performs at 3 PM
Location: Rolling Meadows High School (Rolling Meadows, IL)
Admission: $15 – Adults, $10 – Senior Citizens or students
Please support our wonderful Jazz Bands by attending to cheer them on!
4) Disney Jazz Group Rehearsal (Reminder)
Monday, February 27th, the jazz members going to Disney will have a rehearsal from 7-8:30 PM in the Almond band room.
5) Marching Band DVD Available (Reminder)
The Marching Band 2 DVD set is still available for $15. Send in your orders and money to the directors. The DVD's will be sent back thru your students.
