Announcements/Reminders for the week of March 12 CONCERT PROGRAM Concerts coming up next week! Tuesday, March 20, 7pm – O’Plaine GYM Almond Concert Band, Symphonic Band II, Symphonic Band I Wednesday, March 21, 7pm – O’Plaine GYM O’Plaine Concert Band II, O’Plaine Concert Band I JAZZ PROGRAM From Mr Tribley: The Jazz Ensemble performed in the Mundelein Invitational this past Saturday and placed 2nd out of 18 participating ensembles. Congratulations to all students involved! Elizabeth Carpentier, Jack Moen, and David Young were also awarded outstanding soloist certificates. The Jazz Ensemble has upcoming performances on Thursday, April 26th (Concert in Almond Black Box) and at the Live Arts Festival on Friday April 27th (Almond Campus). MARCHING PROGRAM ***Band Camp Week is Set!!! Mark your calendars for an exciting week of band camp to learn what will be an exciting show to perform and watch! Monday, July 30th through Friday, August 3rd – 9am to 5pm at the O’Plaine campus. 2018 Drumline Clinics One more Optional Drumline Clinic: March 22 – Almond Bandroom (6:30pm-9:00pm) FUNDRAISER for STUDENT TRIP ACCOUNTS Gourmets Delight Cheesecake Sale Cheesecake Pick Up: Almond Bandroom - Thursday, March 15, 3:00-6:00 pm WTHS WINTER GUARD From Mr Jenkins: A huge congratulations to both JV and Varsity Winter Guards for their record setting performances in their respective classes Saturday at Lake Park HS. JV earned the highest score among all other high schools in the SRA class, with the top score out of all 12 winter guards in their class! Varsity had a fantastic showing, placing 3rd overall out of 12 guards in SA, after being promoted to this competitive class. The team outscored guards who were finalists at two WGI Regionals held in February, held in Indianapolis and Chicago! Don’t forget to support Winter Guard at Chik-Fil-A on Tuesday, March 13, 6pm-8pm.
