Greetings Warren Band Students and Parents, Here are some updates and reminders for the week of Aug. 17, 2015 (First full week of 2015 - 2016 School Year): 1) Regular Wed. Night Band Practice – Aug. 19 (Tomorrow) Time: 6 to 9 PM Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus 2) Make-Up Uniform Fittings Night #2 – Wed. Aug. 19 (Tomorrow) Who: Few students who could not attend band camp, the 2 band camp fittings nights this year and last weeks fittings night What: Make-Up marching band uniform fitting Date: Wednesday August 19 Time: 5:30 to 6 PM Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus All students (about 10 total) who have not been fitted need to get fitted tomorrow night! Parent volunteers are needed this night, starting at 5:15 P, to assist with this uniform effort and help organize them after the fittings. All interested volunteers should e-mail Teresa Oberlander ASAP, our marching band uniform coordinator, at [email protected]. 3) Color Guard Panda Express Food Fundraiser – (Tomorrow - Wed. Aug 19!) Date: Wednesday August 19 (tomorrow!) Time: 12 Noon to 8 PM Location: Panda Express 7105 Grand Avenue Gurnee, IL (Grand & Brookside) Details: Visit Panda Express and they will donate a portion of your check to the WTHS Color Guard Purpose: The money raised will also help offset color guard expenses. You must bring this certificate (coupon) and present it to your server. Please come out for some food/drink before band practice! 4) Color Guard UNO Food Fundraiser – (Ongoing) Date: Now Thru Sunday August 30 Location: Uno Pizzeria & Grill 6593 Grand Avenue Gurnee, IL Details: Visit Uno and they will donate up to 20 % of your check to the WTHS Color Guard (Dine-In or Takeout) Purpose: The money raised will help offset color guard expenses. You must bring this certificate (coupon) and present it to your server. Please come out to support these band students! 5) Color Guard Car Wash Fundraiser#2 – (Saturday Aug 29) Date: Saturday August 29 Time: 10 AM to 3 PM Location: Uno Pizzeria & Grill 6593 Grand Avenue Gurnee, IL (Uno’s parking lot near the SW corner of Grand Avenue and Hunt Club Road) Cost: A monetary donation Purpose: The money raised will help offset the cost of their marching costumes, which each guard member has to purchase themselves See flyer for details.
