Here are some updates and reminders for the week of Oct 17, 2016:
1) Jazz Band Concert - Last Thursday (Completed)
Last Thur (Oct 20), our jazz bands performed their first concert of the year. The bands sounded great, and should continue to progress for their competitions this winter. Thanks to all the parent volunteers who helped that evening!
2) Halftime Performance at WTHS Football Game – Last Friday (Completed)
Last Fri (Oct 21), our marching band performed during halftime at the home football game. Thanks to all the parent volunteers who help with all parts of the marching band season!
3) Orlando/Disney Trip Payment Due (Tomorrow - Thursday Oct 27)
The second payment for the Orlando/Disney Trip is due this Thursday, October 27. This payment is $300.
Parents of students should make their check payable to Warren Township High School or WTHS (with your student's name in Memo area). Please put check in an envelop, and bring it to the fee office at either campus. At O'Plaine, this is in the main office with Karen Efsen. At Almond, this is at a window across from the Principal's office with Rina Satkiewicz. Students simply need to state their payment is for the Orlando Band trip. They should make sure to receive and keep their payment receipt just in case. Please contact Mr. Jenkins or your student's director if you cannot submit your second payment tomorrow or Friday.

Chaperones: You should have been contacted via email in the past week if you were chosen. Your first payment is due this Friday, October 28. This initial payment to reserve your spot is a $200 non-refundable deposit. Please follow the same procedure above for student's payment (check payable to Warren Township High School or WTHS, except put your name in the Memo area). If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Jenkins.
4) Warren Band Booster Craft Fair (This Saturday - Oct 29)

Time: 9 AM until 3 PM
Location: WTHS Almond campus
Tell your family, friends and neighbors to begin their holiday shopping at our biggest fundraiser.
5) Craft Fair Volunteers Still Needed (Reminder)
Our Craft Fair on Saturday, October 29th is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need your help! Here is the volunteer signup:
There are still options for parents and students alike to help us and have fun doing it. Select a position and shift and add any comments/questions. There are a variety of shifts—you can even work a number of shifts doing something different each shift. If you have no preference, you can choose the “Whatever is Needed” role. Please use this form even if you are only able to bake goods to be sold at the Craft Fair.
There are some shifts that appear to be favorites and fill up quickly. All will be filled on a first come first serve basis, so if you want to volunteer for something with your friends, make sure you sign up sooner rather than later.

6) Citrus Fruit Fundraiser (Announcement)
Orders forms are scheduled to be handed out to the students starting tomorrow (Thursday Oct 27).
This is the highest profit fundraiser for a student's trip account. The Florida citrus sale will run from tomorrow until Thursday, November 9. Delivery date will be early in the week of December 12th. Please make citrus sale checks payable to WTHS.
7) Winter Guard - Upcoming Activities (Announcement)
