Warren Township High School Bands
The Warren Township High School band program involves around 300 students. Musical organizations include five concert bands, three jazz bands, 2 marching bands, pep band, and jazz combos. The High School takes great pride in offering a balanced program that has received significant recognition for excellence in concert, jazz, and marching band.

Marching Band Program
Marching Blue Devils = Kurt Gros, David Tribley, Vince Genualdi, Directors The “Marching Blue Devils” have earned top honors at marching festivals throughout Illinois and Wisconsin. The marching band finished in the top ten at the State of Illinois Marching Band Championships in 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2010. For the 2010 marching season all band students were combined into one marching band - the largest high school marching band in the state!! Marching over 250 students, the marching band performs at home football games, 2 parades, at least 2 marching band festivals and the State of Illinois Marching Band Championship! |

Concert Band Program
Symphonic I Band = Kurt Gros, Director Symphonic II Band = Vince Genualdi, Director Concert Band Almond = David Tribley, Director Concert Band I O'Plaine = Kurt Gros, Director Concert Band II O'Plaine = Kurt Gros, Director The Warren Symphonic Band I performed at the 2000 Illinois Music Educators Association Convention; was one of sixteen bands selected through national audition to perform at the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival in 1998, 2003, and 2014; has made fifteen appearances at the prestigious University of Illinois Superstate Invitational Band Contest with selection as Honor Band in 1991 and 2017; was selected as the State Champion Band at the State of Illinois Concert Band Festival in 2004 and 2005; and earned straight ‘Superior’ ratings at the Illinois High School Association Music Organizations Contest since 1985. The Warren Music Department has finished in the ‘Elite Eight’ of the IHSA Music Sweepstakes for the past fifteen years finishing as State Runner-Up in 1996, 2001, and 2003. |

Jazz Ensemble I, Jazz Ensemble II, and Jazz Lab = David Tribley, Director Recent honors for the Warren Jazz Ensemble include performances at the Monterey Jazz Festival, International Association of Jazz Educators Convention and the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. |

Other Programs
The Pep Band has been selected twice through competitive audition to perform at the IHSA State Basketball Finals. Each year many students are chosen to represent Warren in the Illinois Music Educators Association All District and All State Concert and Jazz Bands. Students have also enjoyed selection as members of both the National and Midwest Grammy Bands, which are jazz ensembles of regional and national high school all stars sponsored by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Science.
