Warren Jazz Bands
Jazz Ensembles I and II
These groups are comprised of Junior and Senior jazz students. A variety of challenging music in all jazz styles (swing, rock, Latin, fusion) are performed and analyzed. Students will develop the art of improvisation using major and minor scales, modes and the blues. Students are expected to attend evening concerts, festivals, and competitions.
Jazz Lab
This group is comprised of Freshman and Sophomore jazz students. A variety of beginning into medium level music in all jazz styles (swing, rock, Latin and fusion) are performed and analyzed. Students will begin study of basic jazz improvisation using the major and blues scales. Students are expected to attend evening concerts, festivals, and competitions.
