Announcements regarding the end of this Homecoming week.
1. 2019 Disneyland Band Trip - First Payment due now extended to End of Day October 5 The students first trip payment of $150 will now be accepted through end of day on Friday, October 5th at either school's Business Office. Almond Fee Office is located in Room 203 (security guard can direct you). O'Plaine Fee Office is located between the Attendance and Registrar Offices near the North Entrance of the school (security guard can direct you). Homecoming Football Game Performance – Friday, October 5 5:15-5:30pm Call time for all members in cafeteria – Must wear white band t-shirt, blue mesh shorts, and mid-calf, black socks Change in cafeteria – leave personal items there (parents will keep secure during game) 6:00pm Move to practice field behind stadium 6:15pm Field rehearsal 7:15pm Move to stadium - Sit in band stands 7:25pm National Anthem singers, then band plays school fight song NOTE: All Band Students (except Color Guard): Must be wearing their FULL Marching Band UNIFORM. This includes Marching Jacket, Marching Pants (bibs), Black mid-calf Socks, Marching Shoes, and Hats/Gloves (as required per instrument) First half Play in the stands during time outs Play at end of first quarter Fight Song after every Warren score 5min mark Band preps for show SHOW March on field Play and march drill March off field Second half ALL STUDENTS RETURN UNIFORMS TO CAFETERIA Competition band members (except drumline) Dismissed Non-competition band members During 3rd Quarter: Students may relax, eat snacks/dinner, or even do homework. Students may NOT go up into the Home OR Visiting stands! BEFORE 4th quarter begins: Return to band stands (with instruments) Fight song after every Warren score Fight song at the end of the game End of game Non-competition members dismissed: APPROX 9:30-10pm. We stay until the end of the game and have no control over how long a football game lasts. Reminders:
3. Homecoming Parade Performance – Saturday, October 6 (7:30-10:30am) Full Uniform for Parade. Don’t forget band shirt, band shoes, black socks, black shoes, and hair is up! Date: This Saturday (Oct 6) Times: 7:30am student call time, 7:15am parent volunteer call time (especially uniform volunteers), Parade steps off at 9am Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus (check in at the cafeteria) At around 8:15am, we will take school buses from OPlaine campus to our parade line up area. The parade will end at the school (OPlaine campus). Please see your director if you have any specific questions. Band Conflict Policy 4. Devil Horn Sales - at Homecoming Game $5 per Devil Horn CASH ONLY Please bring EXACT CHANGE! Sales will continue while supplies last! 5. Cherrydale Orders Pickup – TODAY Cherrydale orders with student delivery will be available to pick up between 3-6 pm outside the Almond band room today. If you are unable to pick up your order, please make arrangements with another family to pick up your order. We do not have the freezer space to retain any orders not picked up. Comments are closed.
