Announcements/Reminders for the Week of August 14 1. Volunteer Information Meeting Date: Wednesday, August 16, 6:30pm Location: O’Plaine Cafeteria What: 1. Introductions 2. Explanation of what is needed on the field 3. Roles/duties 4. Number volunteers needed per role 5. When volunteers are needed (some are one time, others recurring) Please come for the meeting and make sure to spread the word as we need volunteers! Examples of volunteers needed: Field Crew: Equipment/Instrument moving (many on wheels) Uniform Team: Organizing, Fitting, Alterations, Event Day/Night Distribution/Return Marching/Symphonic/Concert/Jazz Band: Photographers, Videographers Fundraising: Fall Event and Spring Event, plus others If you can't attend the meeting and have questions, please contact: Field Crew Lead: Phil Megginson at [email protected] Uniform Coordinator: Judy Andrade at [email protected] All Other questions: Band Booster Board at [email protected] 2. Marching Uniform Volunteers Dates: Wednesday, August 16 & 23, 6-9pm Location: O’Plaine Campus, 1st floor NW hallway/Room 107 Thank you to those who have already volunteered! Marching Uniform Fittings If your student missed Uniform Fitting nights during band camp, please stop by 6pm-8pm on Wednesday August 16 or August 23. If you cannot attend during one of these times, please contact Judy Andrade ([email protected]) Items available for purchase: band shorts, band shirt, marching shoes, white gloves, booster membership (Band shorts and shirts are worn under their Marching Uniform for all other Marching Band performances.) 4. Color Guard Uno’s Fundraiser Date: July15 – August 26 Location: Uno Pizzeria & Grill 6593 Grand Avenue Gurnee, IL Details: Visit Uno and they will donate up to 20 % of your check to the WTHS Color Guard (Dine-In or Takeout) Purpose: The money raised will help offset color guard expenses. You must bring the attached certificate (coupon) and present it to your server. 5. Warren Band Spirit Wear Sale Pick Up Dates: Wednesday, August 23, 6-9pm OR Friday, August 25 before the football game Location: O’Plaine Cafeteria 6.
