Announcements/Reminders for the Week of August 21 1. Fundraisers 1a. Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough sale (Student Fundraiser) This is the first of 3 personal student fundraisers. Students earn a portion of their sales to keep in their individual school accounts. The Band Boosters track each student’s earnings. Funds are generally used by students to pay for trips. The next trip for Warren Bands will be during the 2018-2019 schoolyear. Start earning/saving now! Sale Start: Monday, August 21 Form and payment due: Tuesday, September 5 Checks payable to WTHS – not Warren Bands Pick-up: Almond Bandroom – Wednesday, September 27, 3pm-6 pm. 1b. Trivia Tournament – Committee creation (Booster Fundraiser) Trivia Tournament committee meeting Date: Monday, August 21 Time: 7pm-8pm Location: Warren Newport Public Library – Meeting Room 3 If you’d like to help with this fundraiser, please join us! Marching Uniform Volunteers Dates: Wednesday, August 23, 6-9pm Location: O’Plaine Campus, 1st floor NW hallway/Room 107 Thank you to those who have already volunteered! Marching Uniform Fittings If your student missed Uniform Fitting nights during band camp, please stop by 6pm-8pm on Wednesday August 23. If you cannot attend during this time, please contact Judy Andrade ([email protected]) Items available for purchase: band shorts, band shirt, marching shoes, white gloves, booster membership (Band shorts and shirts are worn under their Marching Uniform for all other Marching Band performances.) 5. Color Guard Uno’s Fundraiser Date: July15 – August 26 Location: Uno Pizzeria & Grill 6593 Grand Avenue Gurnee, IL Details: Visit Uno and they will donate up to 20 % of your check to the WTHS Color Guard (Dine-In or Takeout) Purpose: The money raised will help offset color guard expenses. You must bring the attached certificate (coupon) and present it to your server. 6. Color Guard Car Wash Fundraiser Date: Saturday August 26 Time: 9am-3pm Location: Uno Pizzeria & Grill 6593 Grand Avenue Gurnee, IL (Uno’s parking lot near the SW corner of Grand Avenue and Hunt Club Road) Color Guard members purchase their own costumes each year. Please come out to help support these band students and get your cars washed at the same time! 7.
