Announcements/reminders for the Week of August 7 1. Band Camp – Complete The annual Warren band camp week was completed last Friday (August 4). The directors indicated that this was another successful and productive band camp. 2. Band Booster Meeting – August 3 - Complete Thank you for attending the first Band Booster Meeting of the year. Click here to see the presentation. 3. Warren Band Spirit Wear Sale – Ends Tuesday, August 8 Items available: polo shirts, baseball caps, hoodies, and short sleeve t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirt Pick Up Dates: Wednesday, August 23, 6-9pm OR Friday, August 25 before the football game Details found here and order at https://warrenband.itemorder.com/sale. NOTE: More items, including fleece and winter jackets, will be available later this marching band season. 4. Gurnee Days Parade Time: 10am to about 1pm (10am is student call time) Meeting Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus If you need marching t-shirt or shorts, please purchase these items at 9:30am that morning. At the appropriate time, we will take school buses from the O’Plaine campus to our parade line up area (Spot #50). Since the parade ends near Dairy Queen, we will walk back to the school (O’Plaine campus) after it is over. 5. Marching Uniform Fittings If your student missed Uniform Fitting nights Last week, please stop by 6pm-8pm on Wednesday August 16 or August 23. If you cannot attend during one of these times, please contact Judy Andrade ([email protected]) Items available for purchase: band shorts, band shirt, marching shoes, white gloves, booster membership Band shorts and shirts are worn for the Gurnee Days Parade and also under their Marching Uniform for all other Marching Band performances. 6. Color Guard Uno’s Fundraiser Date: July15 – August 26 Location: Uno Pizzeria & Grill 6593 Grand Avenue Gurnee, IL Details: Visit Uno and they will donate up to 20 % of your check to the WTHS Color Guard (Dine-In or Takeout) Purpose: The money raised will help offset color guard expenses.
