Band Booster Meeting – Thursday, October 18th Almond Band Room at 7 pm. 2. 2nd Annual Trivia Night Date: Saturday, November 3 Time: 7pm (Doors Open by 6:00pm) Location: Almond Black Box Teams of 8 will compete for Cash Prizes! Does YOUR team have what it takes? See Band Trivia website for details. Registration is OPEN This is our largest Fall Fundraiser for the Warren Band Program. 3. Citrus Sale Fundraiser – Student Personal Trip Accounts Warren Band’s Annual Citrus Sale! Date: Today til October 24 (order forms available in both band rooms) Checks Payable to: Warren Township High School Delivery Date: TBD approximately week of November 12th (specific date based on best harvest date as communicated to Warren Bands when we get closer to date) The earnings from this sale go into each individual student’s band account. Most students use these funds to pay for Band Trips.The annual Citrus Sale provides the best profit margin to our students amongst all band personal sale fundraisers. 4. Donations to Warren Band Boosters Did you know that Warren Band Boosters is an option for charitable giving in some local employers' giving campaigns, and may qualify for matching donation from your employer? Please consider directing your annual donation to Warren Band Boosters. Let us know if you need help getting our organization listed as an option to receive donations. Warren Band Boosters is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Thank you for your support! 4. Devil Horn Sales The Band Boosters will be selling Devil Horns at future band events. $5 per Devil Horn CASH ONLY Please bring EXACT CHANGE! Sales will continue while supplies last! 5. 2019 Disneyland Band Trip - Chaperones You should receive an email from Mr. Jenkins in the next week if you submitted your information to serve as a chaperone on the Disneyland trip. Please contact Mr. Jenkins you have any trip questions. 6. First Jazz Band Concert – Completed Our three jazz bands performed their first concert last Thursday at the Almond Black Box Theater. The concert was well attended by friends and family. They will have three more concerts at Almond through spring. Come out and support these talented band students. 7. Final Football Game Halftime Performance – Completed The Marching Blue Devils performed their final halftime performance last Friday. We would like to thank everyone who helped with video, photography, field crew and uniforms during the entire marching season. 8. Final Marching Band Competition - Completed The final competition for the Marching Blue Devils was last Saturday in Downers Grove. Oh my! During the preliminary round, our competition band swept all five Outstanding performance awards in their Class (AA), and earned first place in their Class (actually for all 22 bands who performed in the preliminary round). In the finals, our band won Best General Effect, first place in Finals performance, and the competition’s Grand Champion. Overall, the competition, Marching Blue Devils were Grand Champions in 3 of 4 competitions, and 11 Outstanding/Best performance awards. Thank you to our directors, staff and most importantly, our students who simply amazed their audience throughout this marching season. Comments are closed.
