Announcements/Reminders for the Week of October 2 Congratulations to Competition Marching Band! Class 4A - 2nd Place at the NIU Red & Black Fall Classic competition! 1. COMPETITION Band: Rehearsal is on TUESDAY October 3, 6pm-9pm Rehearsal is on Tuesday night this week, due to Homecoming Events. 2. Blue Devil Light-Up Horns – SALE $5 each Blue Devil Light-Up Horns will be sold at the Homecoming game for $5 each. Band Members will have the opportunity to purchase them at 9pm Tuesday Night (October 3) in the OPlaine Cafeteria OR at Homecoming game. 3. Football Game – Friday, October 6 - HOMECOMING (5pm-10pm) Warren vs Waukegan Please see your director if you have any specific questions. Band Conflict Policy 4. Homecoming Parade – Saturday, October 7 – (7:45am-10:30am) Full Uniform for Parade. Don’t forget band shirt, band shoes, black socks, black shoes, and hair is up! Date: This Saturday (Oct 7) Times: 7:45am student call time, 7:30am parent volunteer call time (especially uniform volunteers), Parade steps off at 9am Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus (check in at the cafeteria) At around 8:15am, we will take school buses from OPlaine campus to our parade line up area. The parade will end at the school (OPlaine campus). Please see your director if you have any specific questions. Band Conflict Policy 5. Color Guard Chipotle Fundraiser – October 5 (4pm-8pm) Chipotle - 6040 Gurnee Mills Cir E, Gurnee, IL 60031 Bring Flyer or show on smartphone: Chipotle Flyer 6. Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough sale (Student Fundraiser) PICK UP There is ONE order that still needs to be picked up. If it is yours, please reply to this email to arrange for pickup. 7. Band Spirit Wear 2nd Fall Sale PICK UP Remaining Spirit Wear Orders that have not yet been picked up will be in your students’ uniform bag on Friday night before the football game. 8. Band Booster Meeting October 12 at 7pm in the Almond Campus Bandroom 9. Trivia Tournament Event Date: Saturday, October 28 at 7pm in the Almond Black Box Registration is OPEN See Band Trivia website for details.
