Announcements/Reminders Week of September 17 1. Jimano’s Restaurant Fundraiser – Thursday, September 13 – COMPLETE Thank you to all families who participated in this fundraiser! 2. SECOND Warren Band Spirit Sale – COMPLETE Thank you for picking up your items! 3. Wednesday Night Rehearsal 6-9pm When the weather gets colder, please remember to bring layers! 4. Festival of Marching Bands (Fill the Drum)/Senior Recognition Night – Thursday, September 20 In addition to recognizing the Seniors in the Warren Township Marching Band Program, each year the marching bands of Warren, Woodland, and Viking perform for their parents and the Gurnee Community. In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, this event became a way to help others in need. Therefore, we call it Festival of Marching Bands (Fill-The-Drum). We ask those who are able, to donate at the gate the evening of the performance. We literally fill a drum with donations to send to a worthy cause. In the past, we have donated to the various cancer societies, the Iowa Flood Relief Fund, the Warren Food Pantry, and animal shelters. 2018 Charities/Causes: Greater Good and American Red Cross Timeline: TIME DESCRIPTION 5:30 PM Call time for band (cafeteria) 5:30-6:00 PM Warren Band students dress in full Marching Uniform 5:40-6:00 PM Senior individual pictures (Inside corner of cafeteria) – Bring Instrument 6:00 PM Band members report to tennis court practice field 6:35 PM Band rehearsal on tennis court practice field 6:50PM Seniors report to stadium 7:00 PM Senior Recognition night begins (introductions) Followed by:

Devil Horn Sales In an effort to allow band students and volunteers a chance to purchase Blue Devil Horn headbands before the general public sales at the Homecoming Football Game; the Band Boosters will be selling Devil Horns during the following dates/times: Wednesday, 9/19: 5:30-7pm – O’Plaine band room Wednesday, 9/26: 5:30-7pm – O’Plaine band room Monday, 10/1: 5:30-7pm – O’Plaine band room $5 per Devil Horn CASH ONLY Please bring EXACT CHANGE! Sales will continue while supplies last! 6. 2019 Disneyland Band Trip Please find information attached.
