Announcements/Reminders for the week of October 8 1. Final Football Game Performance – Friday, September 12th 5:15-5:30pm-Call time for all members in cafeteria – Must wear white band t-shirt, blue mesh shorts, and mid-calf, black socks Change in cafeteria – leave personal items there (parents will keep secure during game) 6:00pm-Move to practice field behind stadium 6:15pm-Field rehearsal 7:15pm-Move to stadium - Sit in band stands 7:25pm-National Anthem singers, then band plays school fight song NOTE: All Band Students (except Color Guard): Must be wearing their FULL Marching Band UNIFORM. This includes Marching Jacket, Marching Pants (bibs), Black mid-calf Socks, Marching Shoes, and Hats/Gloves (as required per instrument) First half-Play in the stands during time outs Play at end of first quarter Fight Song after every Warren score 5min mark-Band preps for show SHOW-March on field Play and march drill March off field Second half-ALL STUDENTS RETURN UNIFORMS TO CAFETERIA Competition band members (except drumline) Dismissed Non-competition band members During 3rd Quarter: Students may relax, eat snacks/dinner, or even do homework. Students may NOT go up into the Home OR Visiting stands! BEFORE 4th quarter begins: Return to band stands (with instruments) Fight song after every Warren score Fight song at the end of the game End of game-Non-competition members dismissed: APPROX 9:30-10pm. We stay until the end of the game and have no control over how long a football game lasts. Reminders:
2. Final Marching Band Competition - Saturday, October 13th (all day) The final Marching Band Competition for the Marching Blue Devils is this Saturday, October 13 at Downers Grove South High School. Please see attached document for details regarding cost, directions, maps, and list of schools competing. The Boosters will provide the band students with one meal after the preliminary performance. Please bring money for all other food/beverages. 3. Citrus Sale Fundraiser – Student Personal Trip Accounts Warren Band’s Annual Citrus Sale! Date: Today til October 24 (order forms available in both band rooms) Checks Payable to: Warren Township High School Delivery Date: TBD approximately week of November 12th (specific date based on best harvest date as communicated to Warren Bands when we get closer to date) The earnings from this sale go into each individual student’s band account. Most students use these funds to pay for Band Trips.The annual Citrus Sale provides the best profit margin to our students amongst all band personal sale fundraisers. 4. Devil Horn Sales The Band Boosters will be selling Devil Horns at this Friday's football game, and future band events. $5 per Devil Horn CASH ONLY Please bring EXACT CHANGE! Sales will continue while supplies last! 5. 2019 Disneyland Band Trip - Chaperones You should receive an email from Mr. Jenkins in the next week if you submitted your information to serve as a chaperone on the Disneyland trip. Please contact Mr. Jenkins you have any other questions. 6. 2nd Annual Trivia Night Date: Saturday, November 3 Time: 7pm (Doors Open by 6:00pm) Location: Almond Black Box Teams of 8 will compete for Cash Prizes! Does YOUR team have what it takes? See Band Trivia website for details. Registration is OPEN This is our largest Fall Fundraiser for the Warren Band Program. 7. Donations to Warren Band Boosters Did you know that Warren Band Boosters is an option for charitable giving in some local employers' giving campaigns, and may qualify for matching donation from your employer? Please consider directing your annual donation to Warren Band Boosters. Let us know if you need help getting our organization listed as an option to receive donations.
