Greetings Marching Blue Devil Students, Parents and Guardians, Here is the information for next week's competition at Illinois State University in Normal. Links are our WMBD (Warren Marching Blue Devils) schedule, and the prelim band day schedule. Schedule: Please arrive at school at 9:30 AM to begin practice at 10 AM. Please bring your lunch and snacks for the trip. Please don't forget your instrument essentials (mouthpiece, extra reeds, sticks & mallets). Bus chaperons should arrive by 11 AM if you are not assisting with loading the trucks. All buses will leave O'Plaine promptly at 11:30 AM. Prelim performance time is 5:16 PM. Parents who are assisting with the ISU dinner please arrive at the parking lot west of the ISU stadium by Haynie Hall right after our performance (see map below). Meal service will begin at 5:45 PM. Awards will begin at 6:50 PM. Students will be returning to O'Plaine around 1:30 AM (after 10 PM if we do not make the finals). Under uniform: WHITE band shirt (with WHITE long-sleeve thermal shirt underneath if needed), Blue band shorts (with DARK thermal pants or similar underneath; NO jeans or sweatpants), MID-CALF BLACK socks, Black marching shoes [Note: drumline and color guard may have different requirements, please check with your coaches.] Any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Jenkins ASAP. Please reply to Band Boosters email by tomorrow if your student has special requirements for their ISU dinner (thanks to those parents who have already sent us).
