Greetings Warren Band Students and Parents,
Here are some updates and reminders for the week of May 9, 2016 (Please make sure you read all items so nothing is missed): 1) Final Band Concerts/Awards (Completed) Last Friday (May 6, 2016), all our concert bands performed on one night. They all sounded wonderful for their last performance of this school year! Congratulations to all the students who received awards! Thank you to all the Seniors (and your parents) for everything you have done for our band program! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped distribute the flowers to the Seniors and helped with collecting/cleaning the student concert wear! 2) Annual Senior Day Party (Reminder) This Friday (May 13) is the last day of attendance for our band Seniors. On this day, we will be having a small party for them during 7th and 8th periods in the Almond choir room to thank them for their time in the band program. A small group of parent volunteers will provide cake, ice cream, snacks and drinks. 3) Disney 2017 Trip - "Tentative" Dates (Reminder) At the last booster meeting, the following dates were announced for the 2017 Disney trip: March 2 - 6, 2017 Once the dates are formally approved, we will send out another update. 4) Music in the Parks Band Fundraiser 2016 (Last Reminder) Remaining Date: May 14, 2016 (This Saturday) Times: 8 A - 1 P Location: O'Plaine campus We will host many school musical groups (bands, orchestras and choirs from many different states)who perform prior to going to Great America. The only official open slots left are for Bus Greeters (Parents only) and we desperately still need your help! Volunteers - Please sign up at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B4FACA62AA0FF2-music However, if you did not signup (parents or students), you can still stop by and we will find areas you can help with. 5) Next Marching Band Camp Dates (Reminder) Dates: August 1 - 5, 2016 Times: 9 A - 5 P Location: O'Plaine campus. Registration is still open and we need as many students as possible in attendance! Please sign up ASAP at https://d121.cr3.rschooltoday.com/public/home before May 31! Please note that this is also the same week as registration, but students will be allowed to come and go as needed for registration. See the band camp packet for more information. Go Blue Devils!
