Greetings Warren Band Students and Parents, Here are some updates and reminders for the week of Nov 2, 2015 (please make sure you read all items so nothing is missed): 1) Craft Fair Volunteers Still Needed (This Friday & Saturday Nov 6 & 7) - Parents and Students! Go to http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0b4faca62aa0ff2-craft to sign up. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need your help! There are plenty of options for parents and students alike to help and have fun doing it, including concessions. Select a position, pick a shift and add any comments/questions. There are a variety of shifts—you can even work several, doing something different each one. If you have no preference, you can choose the “Whatever is Needed” role. Please use this form even if you are only able to bake goods to be sold at the Craft Fair. Some shifts appear to be favorites, as they fill up quickly. All will be filled on a first come first served basis, so if you want to volunteer for something specific with your friends, make sure you sign up right away. This week Friday, they will play a home game vs. Naperville Central at 7 PM. Unlike the playoff game two years ago, we will be having a Football Game Pep Band (like at basketball games). There will be no halftime field performance; field crew is not needed. Students will not be wearing their marching band uniforms; uniform crew is not needed either. However, the students should dress warmly as temps will be in the 40s, and you will be outside for at least 3 hours. Pep Band students should report to the O'Plaine band room by 6 PM. Parents should plan to pick up their Pep Band students by 9 PM. Pit and some Guard members should plan to work at the Craft Fair from 6-9 PM. Those students with a legitimate conflict on Friday need to sign up for a Craft Fair shift on Saturday to receive a grade credit. Any questions, please contact Mr. Jenkins. 3) Citrus Fruit Fundraiser (Ongoing) Orders forms were handed out to the students Wednesday Oct 28. This is one of the 3 annual fundraisers in which the student sales profit goes into each student's account. Forms need to be returned to school by Wednesday Nov 11. Delivery will be sometime in early to mid-December (more specifics will become available as we get closer to this time). 4) Winter Guard - Upcoming Activities (Announcement) Clinic/Conditioning - This Thursday (Nov 5) 6 - 9 P at the Almond Campus Tryouts - Thursday (Nov 12) 6 - 9 P at the Almond Campus Go Blue Devils!
