Greetings Warren Band Students and Parents, Here are some updates and reminders for the week of Oct 12, 2015 (please make sure you read all items so nothing is missed): 1) Wednesday Night Band Practice (This Wed! - Oct 14 - Tomorrow!) Time: 6 to 9 PM Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus This will be the last night rehearsal for the marching band this year! 2) Next (& Last) Home Football Game - Halftime Band Performance (Oct 16 - This Week Friday) Date: This Friday (Oct 16) Times: 5:30 to 10 PM [5:30 PM student call time, 5 PM parent volunteer call time (other than uniform volunteers)] Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus (check in at the cafeteria) 3) Marching Band Competition (ISU Marching Band State Championships) (All Day Oct 17 - This Saturday) Date: This Saturday (Oct 17) Schedule: Our marching band and competition schedule is HERE. Location: Illinois State University in Normal 4) Next Band Booster Meeting (Next Week Thursday - Oct 22) Time: 7 to 8:30 PM Location: WTHS Almond campus - Band Room 5) Craft Fair Concession Volunteers Desperately Needed! (Saturday Nov 7) Who: Parent Volunteers What: Work concessions for the Craft Fair (Saturday - Nov 7) We still need several additional people to make this work! Previous concession experience a plus. All interested volunteers should e-mail Virginia McCullough ASAP, our Craft Fair coordinator, at [email protected]. 6) Volunteers Still Needed (This Friday! - Oct 16) Who: Parent Volunteers What: Pass out Craft Fair flyers at the last home football game Date/Times: Football Game = 1 Friday Left (Oct 16) / 4:30 to 5:15 PM and 6:15 to 7:45 PM All interested volunteers should e-mail Virginia McCullough ASAP, our Craft Fair coordinator, at [email protected] 7) Band Pictures (Reminder) This year we are posting event photos for parent/student access in the gallery on the band website (http://www.wthsbands.org/photos.html) as the season progresses (not waiting for the end of the season). The pictures are sorted by band section, and the senior pictures from Fill the Drum are in their own area. These pictures and others, along with the performance videos, will also be available on the Marching Band DVD available in December for $15. Go Marching Blue Devils!
