Greetings Warren Band Students and Parents, Here are some updates and reminders for the week of Feb 15, 2016 (Please make sure you read all items so nothing is missed): 1) Spring (March) Band Concerts (Important Date Change Reminder) Due to several unavoidable conflicts with juniors and seniors on their previously scheduled concert date, we have switched the Spring (March) Concert nights for the Almond and O'Plaine Bands. The new schedule for our Spring Concerts is as follows: - Tuesday, March 15 - Almond Bands (Concert Band I Almond, Symphonic Band II, Symphonic Band I) - Wednesday, March 16 - O'Plaine Bands (Concert Band II O'Plaine, Concert Band I O'Plaine) 2) Jazz Band Concerts (Announcement) Date/Time: This Thursday (Feb 18), 6:30 P start Location: Almond Black Box Theatre 8th grade jazz band students will be participating in this one. HELP! - We need more parent volunteers for this event! Please contact Tracy Young ([email protected]) if you can assist at the Jazz concert. All Jazz students should also remember to bring their assigned snacks and drinks! 3) Marching Band Show T-Shirt Sale (Reminder) We are still selling leftover marching band show T-Shirts (Arachnophobia) for $5 each and will continue to do so until supplies run out. Since they are leftovers, quantity and sizes may be limited. Checks should be made out to the Warren Band Boosters. If you are interested, send in your orders, with payment and sizes, to the directors or the booster board members. All orders will be filled on a first come basis. 4) Pep Band Games (Reminder) The pep band schedule is still posted in all band rooms and on the front page of the band booster website at http://www.wthsbands.org/. Band students are welcome to attend any or all games. Please attend another game if you cannot attend your band's assigned game. Please note that the Symphonic I Band is scheduled to perform as the pep band tonight (Tuesday - Feb 16). Any questions, please contact your director. 5) Marching Band DVD Sale (Reminder) We are still selling 2 marching band DVD sets, consisting of 1 DVD with videos of performances, along with a second DVD containing event photos. The cost for this set is $15. Please note that we also have a few copies of last year's DVD set for sale for only $10 (limited quantities). Checks should be made out to the Warren Band Boosters. Orders and payment can be given to the directors or the booster board members. 6) Winter Guard Movie Ticket Fundraiser #2 (Update) This fundraiser has been completed and the Winter Guard members should have delivered all their orders. If you did not receive yours, please get in touch with your Winter Guard member contact. 7) Cheesecake Sale (Reminder)Forms for this fundraiser will be available for your student to pick up at school, starting today (Tuesday - Feb 16). Checks should be made out to the Warren High School All orders and payment are due back by Mar 3 (Thursday) Delivery will be on Mar 17 (Thursday) at Almond (3 - 6 P).
