Welcome to 2017-2018 Warren Township High School Bands!
Here are some announcements/reminders for band events starting early next week. 1. Band Camp – Week of July 31 Dates: Monday thru Friday (July 31 - August 4) Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus If you have not registered your student, there is still time! Band camp registration is through the WTHS Camp Registration site. Please read the band camp packet. There are two marching bands this season. The directors have spoken with returning band students about this change. If you have any questions, please send an email to Mr. Jenkins([email protected]). WE REALLY NEED YOUR ATTENDANCE AT CAMP IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY CONTACTED MR. JENKINS ABOUT YOUR CONFLICT. 2. Marching Uniform Fitting Nights - August 1 and 2 Location: WTHS O’Plaine Fieldhouse What: Marching band uniform fittings (2 nights during band camp) Competition Band Members Date/Time: Tues, Aug 1, 5:00pm-6:00pm All other Returning Band Members Date/Time: Tues, Aug 1, 6:00pm-7:30pm NEW Students Date/Time: Wed, Aug 2, 5:00pm-7:30pm If you cannot attend during your assigned time, please come during one of the other times. Items available for purchase: band shorts, band shirt, marching shoes, white gloves, booster membership Band shorts and shirts are worn for the Gurnee Days Parade and also under their Marching Uniform for all other Marching Band performances. Note: Freshmen Color Guard students should attend to purchase their band shorts and shirt (every band student is required to have these) 3. Uniform Fitting Volunteers Remember to arrive at your pre-arranged date(s) next week. We could still use several volunteers! Please contact Judy Andrade ([email protected]) by July 30. Thank you to those who have already volunteered! 4. Band Booster Meeting – August 3 Date: Thursday August 3 (first one of 2017-18 school year) Parents New to the Band ProgramTime: 6:30pm to 7:00pm All Booster Members (including New Parents) Time: 7:00pm to 8:30pm Location: WTHS O’Plaine campus auditorium Come and meet the Band Directors, your Band Booster Board Members, and other Band Booster Members! Learn about the WTHS Band Program, Fundraisers, and Volunteer Opportunities! Please try to attend! 5. Upcoming Warren Band Spirit Wear Sale What: WTHS Band Spirit Wear for students and parents Dates: Friday July 27 thru Tuesday August 8 Items available: polo shirts, baseball caps, hoodies, and short sleeve t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirt Pick Up Dates: Wednesday, August 23, 6-9pm OR Friday, August 25 before the football game Details found here.
